On March 18, TSU has transferred all its undergraduates and graduate students to the distance learning form.
The situation is contingent, there is no ready-made algorithm of actions, so the university asks students and teachers to understand the changes, participate and help those who now need help.
So far, measures have been taken on March 28, then we will wait for the special order.
All students are switching to a remote work format. The administrative apparatus of the university and teachers work (observing the preventive regime). The buildings will not close.
Students are asked to solve all arising issues online, through the headmen and deputy deans, minimizing attendance at the university.
The university does not expel anyone from the hostels, the hostels are not closed, but guests are prohibited. Students are advised to stay in Tomsk so as not to endanger other people: the virus is dangerous, especially for older people.
Mass events at TSU, Culture Center, and Research Library are canceled.
The university has a hotline where you can ask your questions from 9 to 18 hours: phone 8 (3822) 785-188. There is also around-the-clock hotline in the region, you can contact them with questions about seasonal viral infections: tel. 8 (3822) 516-616. The hotline of Rospotrebnadzor of the Tomsk Region for those who returned from trips: 8-800-350-8850 (free call for residents of the Tomsk Region).
You can ask questions by mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
All information about how classes are held is available in students' dashboards. If for some reason it is not activated, contact the dean’s office (call, write).
Remote work format is not a vacation. All lectures and seminars will be held in Moodle and Google Classroom systems and on open educational platforms. Both TSU courses and courses developed by other universities of the country and the world will be used: a common base is now open, universities help each other.
Teachers will monitor the attendance of online learning forms. Remote mode is not a reason for skipping webinars or not completing tasks.
For remote work you need gadgets. If someone has problems with them, you need to contact the dean of your faculty.
The Research library works, books can be ordered and received, but reading rooms are not recommended. The library features are described here.
Curricula will be adjusted: theoretical courses will be given this semester, practical - mainly in the next.
Practices and laboratory work are postponed to a later time, most likely in the fall. Now the issue is being resolved.
Physical education will not be yet.
Business trips (including academic mobility) are limited. Business trips abroad are prohibited.
The scientific work of the university is not suspended. Access to the laboratory is open.
If you feel unwell - call a doctor and report your status as a deputy dean for academic work.
If psychological help is needed, a psychological service is working at TSU, tel. (3822) 785-188.
In the buildings where there are “with fingers” turnstiles, passages on cards and certificates are open to minimize the risk of the spread of any viruses.
In buildings and dormitories, all surfaces are treated with antiseptics. There are also hand antiseptics.
Mass events were canceled, everyone was recommended, if possible, not to gather in large groups, not to use public transport.
At the entrance to the buildings, volunteers will measure body temperature.
