TSU team received a diploma in the special category of contest "WTO model: foreign-trade profile of G20 countries», which took place in the framework of the fifth Eurasian Economic Youth Forum in Yekaterinburg, April 22-25 .
The contest was held in two stages: a qualifying round and final. Each team had to prepare a project of the chosen from "G 20"country and analyze it foreign trade and relationships with WTO-countries. 20 teams from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan were invited on the internal round. All of them represented different countries of "G 20" and had to present and defend their own analytical projects. TSU team consisted of representatives from the Department of Economics and Agribusiness of Biological Institute: associate professors Natalia Redchikova and Michael Chikov and assistant Alexander Turlov .
- The subject of our project - " India's international trade." We have made the foreign-trade profile of the selected country: the dynamics of exports and imports, geographical and product structure of foreign trade, the country's role in the world economy - says Alexander Turlov. - The most important part of this project - India 's peculiarity of foreign-trade policy, participation in the international economic organizations and integration associations, relations with the other WTO countries: India’s position at the WTO, participation in negotiating groups, it targets.
The project presented by the Tomsk team was recognized as the best and awarded by jury with diploma in a special category for “the best project made by young researchers with a degree”, because the other team consist of students .
- The result of this competition shows that our university prepares specialists who have the great knowledge of global economic processes, - says Alexander . – It has exceptional importance for our country in consideration of today's realities.
