TSU delegation paid a working visit to Holland

Tomsk State University Rector's Office returned from a working trip to Holland. Its result was the new agreement on cooperation with universities, which are included in the World's top 100 universities.

Among the TSU partnership universities is Utrecht University. Its structure is very similar to the Tomsk State University. The university presented the entire spectrum of educational areas, though particularly strong are considered medical and engineering subjects. TSU representatives got acquainted the Utrecht colleagues with the TSU research results in biota, climate and landscape.

- We also visited the Maastricht University, with which we had signed a cooperation agreement two years ago, - says Artem Rykun. - Our delegation was received by the university president Professor Paul Martin. During the meeting the results of work on the creation of a joint master's program were summarized and approved. We reached new agreements, including the start of the joint work on the educational program in management and state and municipal government. In addition there is an agreement about TSU leadership training at Maastricht University

The interesting joint project which is called the mirror lab appeared in the sphere of neurological research. Curator of similar project in Maastricht University Professor Steinbusch is planning to come to Tomsk in October.

Also during a meeting of TSU Rector Eduard Galazhinsky and rector magnificus of Wageningen University and Research Centre Professor Kropff signed an agreement of the program AGRIMBA implementation.

Another trip result is the Dutch universities leadership consent of taking part in the XIX Conference of the triple helix. This major international forum organized by the Tomsk State University and TUSUR, will hold in Tomsk in September this year.
