Open Doors Olympiad registration is open

Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project Olympiad for international citizens is being held for the third year. Winners and prize-winners of this Olympiad enter the master’s program of leading Russian universities under the quota of the Russian Ministry of Education without exams or receive bonuses upon admission. The registration of participants is open from October 5 to December 18, 2019.

A citizen of any country except Russia (and our compatriots living abroad permanently) with a bachelor’s diploma or graduating from undergraduate programs in 2020 can take part in the Olympiad.

Tomsk State University is taking part in the Open Doors Olympiad for the third year, and for the second year is the coordinator of the profiles Biology, Linguistics and Modern Languages, and Psychology. In addition, TSU employees will act as experts in the profiles Business and Management and Political Sciences.

- Tomsk State University is focused on talented youth, and olympiads are one of the ways to find “your” applicants, including for master’s programs,- says Victor Dyomin, TSU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. - So, in 2019, according to the results of the Open Doors Olympiad, 18 people chose TSU for admission. But overall, students from 64 countries study at TSU. Our Siberian university is attractive for young people from abroad not only for a comfortable environment and interesting projects. TSU master's programs meet one of the main requirements of the time: graduates can solve serious problems using both fundamental and applied knowledge, and also participate in real projects of partner companies.

Open Doors Olympiad is held online in two stages. In the qualifying stage, the portfolios are evaluated. Participants who have successfully passed the selection are invited to the second stage. The olympiad tasks and further studies at universities can be done in Russian and English.

Winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad can choose the areas for admission to the university by the profile of the Olympiad. Note that, since last year, a new profile Engineering and Technology was added, and the names of the profiles Philology and Linguistics, Computer Sciences and Mathematics were changed to Linguistics and Modern Languages, Computer and Data Sciences, and Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.

More information on the list of profiles and the demo of the tasks of the second stage can be found at
