The Russian and Indian universities collaboration was discussed at TSU

Rector of TSU and the representatives of the University leadership met with Dr. Abhishek Vaish, the Counselor (Science & Technology) of the Embassy of India. They discussed the possibility of exchanging information about the universities, recognition of TSU’ diplomas at the Indian labor market, and the further collaboration between universities of both countries.

- I'm glad to see you at one of the oldest universities in Russia - welcomed the guest Eduard Galazhinsky, the Rector of TSU. - We have been entrusted with the honorable mission - to be the focal point for interaction between Russian and Indian universities, and we are extremely interested in the educational partnership.

The Russian-Indian Association of Universities was established on May 8, 2015, at the round table with the participation of the rectors of the largest universities of the two countries. Tomsk State University and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay became coordinator of the Association in Russia and in India. The main objectives of the association are the exchange of experience and the organization of collaboration in education, science, and innovation.

- The relationship between the universities of our countries is very important, - said Dr. Abhishek Vayish. - Being the coordinator of the project is an advantage, you are in the centre of events. Currently, the association has 20 Indian and 24 Russian universities, and there is a great contribution of TSU.

During his visit Dr. Abhishek Vayish gave a lecture in English Modern Russian-Indian Relations in Science and Technology.
