TSU and École Polytechnique will create joint programmes

A TSU delegation composed of Victor Demin, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Artyom Rykun, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, are in the UK at the largest conference of the European Association for International Education. The aim of the conference is to form partnerships.

Negotiations of the TSU representatives with the leadership of the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow), which were attended by the deans of the business school and Faculty of Engineering of the Scottish university, took place at the beginning of the week. As a result, an agreement on joint summer schools and organizing internships was reached.

TSU’s delegation also held talks with the leadership of Ecole Politechnique Superior (Polytechnic School of Paris), France's leading engineering university (53th in the QS ranking).

- We are planning to sign a contract with them to establish a double degree programme, - says Artyom Rykun. - Undergraduates of our university will be trained in joint programmes with the École Polytechnique and at the end of training will receive a Master’s diploma from TSU and and engineer diploma from Ecole Politechnique Superior, and later a full degree from the School as the analog of  the Master’s degree.

The first admission campaign of the programme is already possible in 2016. Education at the Ecole Politechnique Superior will begin in 2018.
