Tomsk State University has entered the top 25 universities in Eastern Europe in the ranking Nature Index of Rising Stars. The ranking identifies rising stars in the world of science, using data from the authoritative journal Nature.
The top 25 includes universities that in a short period of time made big progress in the area of research. The Index estimated the increase in the number of publications (WFC) of countries in 68 leading international scientific journals from 2012 to 2015 in the following areas: natural sciences, physics, chemistry, nanotechnologies, photonics, and earth sciences. The research of more than 8,000 global scientific and educational organizations was taken into account.
TSU’s WFC increased by 322 (95%) with the largest increase observed in the physical sciences.
It should be noted that among the leaders are the leading Russian research universities that participate in the initiative “5-100" of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
