TSU has entered the 300 strongest universities in the world QS ranking

Quacquarelli Symonds has published the ranking of the best universities in the world. The World University Rankings 2019 is one of the most authoritative rankings in the academic community. Tomsk State University entered the 300 strongest universities in the world, taking the 277th position. Among Russian universities, TSU ranked 4th. In total, the ranking included 1,011 universities, the Russian Federation is represented by 27 higher educational institutions, 17 of them are included in the Project 5-100.
TSU improved its last year's result in the QS World University Rankings by 46 points. Experts noted that this is the highest dynamics among universities for 5 years.
The ranking evaluated six parameters: Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty/Student Ratio, Citations per faculty, International Faculty Ratio, and International Student Ratio.

- TSU has shown growth in key indicators for us - in Academic and Employer Reputation. The high appreciation of the professional community and those for whom we are preparing personnel has once again proved that TSU team chose the right vector for the development of the university, -commented Eduard Galazhinskiy, TSU Rector. - We also confirmed the high position of TSU as an exporter of Russian education abroad, more and more international students come to study at TSU.

Compared to last year, TSU significantly improved the indicators for Academic Reputation (by 52 points) - this indicator has the greatest weight and makes up 40% of the overall assessment of the university. There is also a good growth in International Student Ratio (by 57 points) and in Employer Reputation (by 31 points).
