TSU improved its positions in the Times Higher Education ranking

Tomsk State University entered the world’s top 600 universities and became one of the 24 Russian universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. From last year, TSU has risen by more than 100 positions and entered the group of 501-600.

- The largest contribution to the success of TSU in this ranking is shown in indicators reflecting the quality of education, the efficiency of research, innovation, and international activities, - says Vladimir Dyomkin, Vice-Rector for Network-Based Information Activities. - This year, TSU has repeatedly demonstrated rapid ascent in the world rankings, such as QS, QS BRICS, and QS EECA.

THE’s assessment of universities is by four indicators: Teaching, Research, Knowledge transfer, and International outlook. These areas are included in the ranking indicators of other top universities in the world. "Therefore, the rise of TSU in THE ranking was the expected result of the collective work of the university", - said the Vice-Rector.

- Today TSU participates in 7 international and 3 national university rankings. This allows international experts to get more complete information about our university, the level of public recognition of its development, its reputation, and its solvency on the basis of comprehensive characteristics and objective assessment of our activities, - said Vladimir Dyomkin.

This year Tomsk State University also showed great growth in the QS global ranking of universities. TSU took the 377th place, rising over the previous year by 104 positions.
