TSU students initiated the creation of a skating rink

The skating rink on Mavlyukeevskoe Lake will become one of the largest ice rinks in the Siberian Federal District on a natural pond, with an area of about 6000m². Tomsk State University, the administration of the Kirovsky District of Tomsk, Gorseti and TEMZ are preparing such gift to the city for mid-December.

- The student community of the residential complex Parus (Sail), which is near the lake, were the initiators of the creation of an outdoor skating rink, - says Alexander Bykov, the director of Parus. - Students made a proposal to have a skating rink on the natural pond. This idea was supported by TSU management and the district administration, and also partner companies have joined the project.

In addition, a skate rental for all Tomsk citizens is planned: 300 pairs of skates will be bought, and there will be warm dressing rooms and hot drinks available. The lighting system on the perimeter of the pond will be equipped by TEMZ and Gorseti.
