The scientific team made up of 9 researchers, 5 of whom are TSU scholars, received the award of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of education. The awarding ceremony took place on December 25th, 2013, at the House of the Russian Government. Holders of the award became TSU President Georgiy Mayer, Vice Rector for IT Vladimir Demkin, Director of the TSU Institute of Distance Learning Galina Mozhaeva, and Assistant to Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Tatiana Rudenko as well as Dean of TSU Physics and Technology Department Ernst Schrager.
The award was given for the project “Developing methodological principles of innovative forms of networking and realizing them in lifelong education for scientific and staffing support of the socio-economic development of regions”.
Presented were the results of the team’s joint work on the creation of a multi-level system of lifelong education based on networking between educational institutions, state and local authorities and enterprises operating in real economy as well as on the development and implementation of practice-oriented interdisciplinary educational programmes for specialist training and re-training to provide staffing support of the socio-economic development of Siberian regions.
The work was carried out in the years 2003-2012 on projects in the framework of federal targeted and specialized scientific and technical programmes, the National Project “Education”, the programme of the development of National Research Tomsk State University as well as development programmes of other participating universities. The present realities of networking among universities is a result of many years of work within corporate structures established for the development of information and telecommunication system, the generation of resources of centres for collective use, the improvement of their methodological, material and technical components, the extension of integration ties of the university with institutions of science, education, industrial enterprises and business.
The results have been implemented in ten regions of the Siberian and Far East Federal Districts and have been utilized in the daily operation of institutions of general, vocational and further education since 2003. Over 75,000 specialists took part in programmes of training and re-training, tens of thousands of teaching staff members and school children got involved in the system of further education.For the work on the project “Developing methodological principles of innovative forms of networking and realizing them in lifelong education for scientific and staffing support of the socio-economic development of regions”, among other research team members, the award was also given to Rector of Omsk University, Vladimir Strunin; Rector of Novosibirsk Technical University, Nikolay Pustovoy; Rector of Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Vladimir Filippov, and Chief Designer of Gazprom Space Systems OJSC, Nikolay Sevastyanov.
