This is confirmed by the BRICS university rankings (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) produced by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds).

On the overall list of the TOP 100 TSU has been ranked 58th. Among Russian universities only Lomonosov Moscow State University entered the TOP 10 coming 3d, 6 universities were ranked on the TOP 50 list. Included in the first TOP 100 are 40 Chinese universities, 19 universities from Russia, 17 – from Brazil, 16 – from India and 8 – from the South African Republic. Chinese universities are at the top of the list.

Ranking methodology gives an opportunity to compare universities by several indicators: activity and reputation in the academic community and among employers, teaching process and internationalization. To produce the list, over 9,000 experts from the BRICS countries were interviewed.
