TSU has new partners

Two agreements between the Tomsk State University and Center «Economic and humanitarian technologies in scientific- technical field» of St. Petersburg University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics, and between TSU and The Pushkin State Russian Language Institute (Moscow) were signed in late April

Our university is working with that data research and educational institutions for several years. In particular, in the 2008-2010 TSU and University of Information Technologies had a join work within the bounds of network project for establishing training programs . Now REC " Economic and humanitarian technologies in scientific - technical field " addressed to the TSU Humanitarian problems of Informatics chair with a proposal to develop joint training programs .

- It is a very interesting proposal for us because University of Information Technologies is the country's leading institution in the field of information technology, and we are certainly interested in the humanitarian aspects of this trend development said the Institute of Distance Education director, Head the Chair of Humanitarian Problems of Informatics (Philosophy Department) Galina Mozhayeva. - Our department conducts research in the areas of digital humanities and social robotics. Cooperation with technical college experts reveals great perspectives because these areas are very relevant today, and we are the country leaders in the field of social robotics.

In the nearest future under the agreement will develop a joint master's program, also cooperation in the field of distance learning is supposed.

With the other partner - The Pushkin State Russian Language Institute (Moscow) we also planned collaboration in the development of new educational resources. (PSRLI) is a provider of recently launched the Ministry of Education promotion of Russian language and Russian education abroad program. TSU Philology Department will join this work, and it has already developed and implemented remote courses for Russian students living abroad and for Russian as a foreign language teachers. Under this agreement, Tomsk University will be provided an access to PSRLI portal for working with Rossotrudnichestvo foreign centers.

- This agreement is important in terms of our educational programs foreign market implementation, and in the long run, it leads to the improvement of TSU international competitiveness, - says Galina Mozhayeva.

Joint research in the field of Russian language, its teaching methods, new forms of educational activities on the basis of social networking creation, the development of professional standards Russian as a foreign language teachers are also planned.
