Tomsk State University and the University of Central Asia (UCA) have signed a collaboration agreement and immediately agreed that the strongest bachelor's degree graduates of bachelor's degrees from the university would come to Tomsk. UCA has campuses in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan.
- The region of Central Asia is traditionally a strategic and partnership for the Tomsk Imperial University. Over the 140-year history, several thousand students from Central Asia have been educated at TSU, and we are glad that your university has brought a new culture, new international standards, and a highly professional attitude to education in this region. For us, the development of international collaborations is a priority, - said the TSU Rector Eduard Galazhinsky at the meeting.
UCA is affiliated with the organization of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan, with over 50 locations worldwide. The university focuses on research on improving the quality of life, developing the economy and culture of small mountain settlements, and exploring regional potential. Particular attention is paid to the humanities, and it is here that there are intersections with the interests of Tomsk State University.
- Now our group of bachelor's degree graduates, which finishes next month, is looking for opportunities to study, - said Syed Sohail Hussain Naqvi, Rector of the University of Central Asia. - We will choose the most talented from three countries for TSU.
Presumably, UCA students will enroll in graduate programs at the Faculty of Technology Innovation, TSSW, and social and humanities specialties. They will also be attracted to work on expeditions and into research activities.
- One of our priorities at the next stage of development is new socio-humanitarian knowledge associated with serious interdisciplinary projects, such as the use of AI and cognitive research. We have, on the one hand, serious schools: psychological, linguistic, historical, and philological, and on the other hand, we need modern approaches that have been developed in this area in international communities and which are guided by the Aga Khan University. Therefore, I believe that our collaboration in these areas can be especially productive, - added the TSU Rector.
