In 1997, Tomsk State University opened Faculty of Psychology. Today the faculty consists of 7 departments, 6 laboratories, Centre for Social and Psychological Education, Psychological Service. The faculty has two dissertation councils; "Siberian psychological magazine"; Siberian regional office of the Board of Psychology Association for classical university education.

The faculty training in:

•  psychological sphere ("Psychology" and "Clinical Psychology");
• sphere related to social communication ("Advertising and Public Relations");
• sphere related to the management of social processes ("Human Resources" and "Organization of work with young people").

Today the faculty is actively developing a new scientific direction - "Anthropological Psychology", based on the methodology of the study of a man as an integral phenomenon. A large series of studies identified patterns, phases, stages and levels of human evolution as a psychological phenomenon.
